But anyways, the Sigma Key Dongle Emulator is an officially licensed product that emulates all old nintendo game enhancers. It's a USB dongle with the Nintendo logo, and nothing else. It also comes with a header so you can use it on your computer. It works with both Windows and Linux. There are two ways to use this device: You can either use it while you're playing a game (recommended), or you can use it to connect your Epoch (and other) cartridges directly to your computer and copy games off of them, no cartridge needed. If it is found, it will let you know by flashing two yellow LEDs on the device. These LEDs can also be used to turn off the device's power when flashing at a particular frequency. This way you don't need to buy a keyboard controller and can control your software from a terminal program. When using the emulator while playing a game, it will provide an extra 2048kB of ram and an extra DSP chip for audio processing. The DSP chip supports both ADSR envelopes and periodic waveforms, so both wavetable synthesis and wave sampling synthesis is supported by this device (as well as other types such as granular synthesis). Also features additional control for this chip using the right and left bumper and left and right triggers. Once inserted, the host computer's keyboard and mouse become disabled. When using it as a cartridge copier, there is no extra ram or DSP chip. However, it comes with a list of memory carts that it supports (see below). The emulator also cannot use its built in keyboard to input passwords or any other kind of input - instead you need to use a real controller plugged into the button port on the back.
